Norton Security Scan is a free version of Symantec antivirus software. This is not a real-time software but the "on demand" applications for viruses, spyware and other security threats. Installation is easy, but not very fast. It has a very complex interface update, after trying to update the virus database from different computers and with different connections, I can say that most of the servers are very slow to download updates.

The scanning process is not fast enough for me. Like most antivirus software is installed it scans, boot sector, partition sector, and look for viruses, Trojan horses, Hack tools (tools to gain unauthorized access to your computer), Spyware, Adware (allowing a third party to install unwanted ad content), and trackware (small programs that follow the activity of your systems, information systems or user habits). Usually detect threats with great accuracy.

I give you a hint earlier, most experts would definitely prefer another antivirus option, there is a free antivirus that provides real-time protection, not protection "on demand".

In the early days I used to manage a MySQL database using PHPMyAdmin, but are now used to using HeidiSQL for speed and simplicity. We almost did not have to wait for features that opened like when using PHPMyAdmin. Except when the server is not allowed except only accessible via the web, then it may be used PHPMyAdmin.
