Dropbox has a cross-platform client (Windows, Mac, Linux and even Android) that enables users to drop any file into a Dropbox folder which is then synced to the web and other computer users' with the Dropbox client. Files in the Dropbox folder may then be shared with other Dropbox users or accessed from the web. Users can also upload files manually through a web browser. A free Dropbox account offers 2 GB of storage. The extra space 8 GB of free storage is possible from referrals (by inviting friends to join Dropbox).
