This notebook is outfitted with a quad-core AMD A8 processor with 4GB DDR3 RAM and runs on Windows 8 despite not having a touch-screen display.
The 15.6-inch display on the Aspire V5 tops at 1366 x 768 resolution which makes it subpar for its screen size. It does have Acer’s CineCrystal technology to give it a high brightness. You will also appreciate its 23mm-thin profile and 2.3kg weight making it somewhat portable for a 15-incher. What’s hard to imagine is that despite its thin profile, this laptop is equipped with a 750GB HDD and an optical disc drive. What makes this a decent gaming notebook is the ability of its integrated graphics, AMD Radeon HD 7600G, and its discrete graphics, 7650M with 1GB VRAM, to work together for added performance boost.
